Soccer!
Getting Addison ready for the first practice was a little challenging since we had to talk her into wearing something other than a dress. After a few minutes of complaining we finally got her to pose for a picture before heading out the door.
Practice was hilarious…we had a great time watching all the kids run around.
After a few practices the Tigers were ready for their first game against the Lions! This was a fun game for us since Addison’s BFF Chase plays for the Lions :) The Tigers have bright green shirts and Addison is #4!
The game can best be described as ‘organized chaos’…but it was also SO.STINKING.CUTE! Even Sophie had a blast watching her big sis play :)
This just makes me realize that we have so many fun years of sports in our future!!

Gymnastics!
Waiting in line before class
Butterfly stretches
Learning about the circuit course
Backward rolls
Fun on the trampoline
Here’s a quick video from her class too :)
After class we went out for mommy-daughter dinner at Red Robin, which is always a hit…and is something we don’t get to do as often as I’d like.
Addison was extra excited when ‘Red’ the mascot came over to the table for a visit!!
Such a fun night :)

Happy Birthday Sarah!
One of my dearest friends turns 30 today and I want to wish her a very happy birthday! I hope this is your best decade yet!! I’m actually excited to join you in the 30s in just a few months :)
Have a wonderful, fabulous, relaxing day, my dear. You absolutely deserve it.
Addison wanted to sing to you since Nelia can’t quite do it yet! xoxo

It’s party time!
***Warning…long post and TONS of pictures to follow!***
We finished up Sophie’s birthday weekend with a wonderful party with family and friends. We decided on a fun Rainbow Brite theme (vintage 80s, of course). Tricia and I loved Rainbow Brite growing up and it was so fun looking for ways to decorate for the party. I was amazed at how much I was able to find on eBay from the 80s…in the original packaging nonetheless!
I was even able to find a retired Wilton cake pan!! Tricia and I worked on icing this cake for hours!! It turned out fairly well but had so much frosting on it that we just used it for looks rather than having anyone eat it.
The morning of the party was super busy since we had lots to set up, but we were able to sit down for some family pics before all the guests arrived :)
One of my favorite parts of the party was the rainbow candy buffet! We had rainbow lollipops, gummi bears, saltwater taffy, skittles and rainbow licorice!
Everyone also loved the display of the monthly pictures of Sophie’s first year! It was so fun to see how Sophie changed every month.
Sophie looked adorable in her Rainbow Brite skirt (which I found on Etsy!) and rainbow striped baby legs.
Sophie was so blessed to celebrate with over 60 of our closest family and friends. It was so wonderful to have so many people there who have played a part in her first year of life.
Great Grandpa John, Great Aunt Toni, Great Grandma Lorraine, and Great Grandma Norma (aka GG)
Some more shots of family and friends…
Next up…cake!!!
I think I’ll share some with Grandpa.
Sophie was spoiled rotten with lots of great presents from everyone. She had a great time opening them all up!
Playing with her present from Addison
We all had such a great time celebrating Sophie’s 1st birthday!! We’re thrilled that so many of our family and friends were able to join us on such a special day :)
