Ok...this is my first attempt at being better about updating our blog! Our subscription to the girls baby website is expiring in a few days so rather than pay for another year Erik has decided to create a website where I can share pictures, etc. Since I'm not sure when (or if!) that will happen I'll try to keep this updated for now :) I think I'll even point our old website to this blog instead of the old site.

As you all probably know by now, we welcomed Sophie Catherine on May 29th at 1:47am! She was 8lbs 5oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Since then she's been growing like a weed!! At her 3 week appoinment she was 9lbs 10oz! We have another appt when she's 2 months old so I'm anxious to see how big she is then.

Sophie was lucky enough to have lots of visitors in the hospital. On her first day of life she got to meet her Nana Denise, Papa Dave, Grandma Cathy, Grandpa Dave, Auntie Tricia, Uncle David, Great Grandma Rose, Great Grandpa Pat, plus her honorary aunties...Chrissy, Amanda & Lacey (and Carson!) Plus Uncle Nate and Miss Vera too!

Addison absolutely loves her baby sister...and lovingly calls her 'cry baby' which makes us laugh every day. She's been very helpful at home by getting diapers, burp cloths, pacifiers and anything else we need. She loves to hold Sophie too! She's really adjusted pretty well considering that her entire world has been turned upside down.

Yesterday marked Sophie's 1 month birthday! It's hard to believe that it's already been that long...we're enjoying every moment (even the crazy ones!) and Sophie is even letting her mama get a decent amount of sleep at night!

Guess who's 2??

On March 26th little Miss Addison turned 2! It's so hard to believe that she's been part of our lives for 2 years now....of course, we can't imagine life without her :)

On her birthday we started out the day by trying to get a halfway decent picture of her in her 'Birthday Girl' t-shirt. This is no small feat these days since Addison never seems to be still unless she's sleeping, and even then she's all over the place! After 16 pictures (literally) I got this shot of her and Sampson.



Since it was a nice day we headed up to the park after naptime.

Next we were off to dinner at The Rock for Addison's favorite....pizza!!! Or 'pi-a' as she calls it since she hasn't quite mastered the z sound :)

After dinner Addison got to open presents with us, Grandma & Grandpa D'Ambrosio, Auntie Tricia and Uncle David.

Next up...cake!











We had a great time celebrating and we still can't believe our baby girl is 2!!

Halfway there!

Yesterday marked the 20th week of this pregnancy, which means we're halfway there!! We had another OB appointment and ultrasound yesterday and things are looking great. Baby #2 was measuring in the 61st percentile for length and was about 13 oz. My belly sure looks like it's carrying more than 13 oz. but I guess I have to take the doctor's word for it :)

We also got the fun news that baby #2 is another GIRL!! We're absolutely thrilled and we know that Addison will have so much fun growing up with a little sister. We've yet to settle on a name but we have it narrowed down to about 4 or 5 we really like (this week!). Hopefully we'll be able to pick one (aka...agree on one) soon.

Oh, how times have changed...

Here's our happy 9 month old with Santa in December of 2007...

And our *not* so happy 21 month old with Santa last week. I know that we'll laugh at this picture for years to come :) And we'll probably have to break it out at her wedding one day!
