9 months old!

It’s been a little over a week since Sophie’s 9 month birthday!  I know I always say this…but I cannot believe how fast the months go by.  We saw Dr. Wiseman for Sophie’s 9 month well-baby visit on March 1st, and of course things are looking great.  Although our little drama queen did put on quite a show when it came time for her shots.   Here are Sophie’s 9 month stats:

Height - 27.5 inches (49%)

Weight - 17 lbs 11.5 oz (26%)  

Sophie has definitely mastered crawling … she moves so fast that I can hardly keep up with her sometimes!  She’s also cruising around the furniture with ease, and within the last few days has started standing up on her own for a few seconds at a time.  This means that my biggest fear is right around the corner…her 1st steps! 

At 9 months old Sophie is wearing both 9 and 12 month clothing, and is still in size 3 diapers.  She’s a great eater and is getting ready to start transitioning to whole milk at the end of the month.  She’s napping better now too - at least an hour at a time, thank goodness!

Although I like to think that Sophie is a mama’s girl at heart, she’s also got quite a soft spot for her daddy…and her favorite person is clearly Addison.  It’s so fun to watch the two of them play…especially since Addison is the only person who can get Sophie to let out that wonderful belly laugh!  I can’t believe that I’m already starting to think about her first birthday party!!
